Arrive, a leading global mobility platform, has announced its partnership with BYD to provide the BYD ParkPay in-car mobility app including data and parking payment integrations.
Arrive's Automotive & Data brand Parkopedia will supply a fully-featured, driver focused set of mobility features powered by Parkopedia data as well as enabling parking payments in RingGo and EasyPark parking areas. The solution will be integrated into BYD infotainment systems across Europe and the UK, saving drivers time by making it easier to find and pay for parking, all from their car’s infotainment screen.
BYD ParkPay will be pre-installed on upcoming BYD models, starting with the Denza Z9 GT and the BYD ATTO 3 EVO. The mobility app will initially offer drivers a range of automated parking features, including parking pricing information, automated notifications when stopping in a RingGo or EasyPark area and in-car payment options for parking. BYD and Arrive will continue to add capabilities to ParkPay, including EV charging payments, tolling payments and parking reservations. BYD ParkPay is also a first of its kind automotive integration for RingGo in the UK.
Duncan Licence, Head of Automotive & Data, Arrive commented: “The breadth of capability that will be available through BYD ParkPay is possible thanks to the sector leading brands that are part of Arrive. RingGo and EasyPark are the most downloaded mobile parking payment apps in their markets, and Parkopedia’s automotive expertise and richness of kerbside data is unmatched. The groundwork we are laying today with ParkPay will unlock greater connectivity capabilities for BYD vehicles in urban areas, supporting integration with infrastructure as cities continue to improve their smart capabilities. We are proud that BYD trusts us with such a deep integration into their vehicles and we look forward to our ongoing partnership.”
Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, added: “BYD is a committed to bringing the finest technologies accessible to as many people as possible, and with our DENZA brand, FLASH Charging and 2nd Generation Blade Battery will remove barriers to electric-vehicle adoption.
We’re pleased to partner with Parkopedia, part of Arrive, to provide streamlined in-car parking payments that will further simplify the user experience for our drivers. Innovation plays a significant role in BYD’s products, and this latest ParkPay service forms part of our next-generation connected-car experience.”
